Alex Sanderford is the Head of Trust and Safety Policy and Enforcement at Anthropic, where she leads teams focused on ensuring the responsible and safe deployment of Anthropic models. She also spearheads Anthropic’s Election Integrity working group, collaborating with a diverse team of experts to combat misinformation and uphold electoral integrity within the AI ecosystem. Alex’s experience in the tech industry spans seven years and includes establishing TikTok’s Integrity and Authenticity policy vertical from the ground up. Prior to her tech career, she spent a decade working in National Security, writing for and briefing policymakers on a wide variety of issues related to domestic politics, foreign policy, stability, and social issues of foreign governments and entities. Alex holds a BA in International Development Studies from UCLA.
