Dave Vorhaus is the Director of Global Elections Integrity at Google. In this role, he is responsible for Google’s strategy for supporting elections worldwide, working across products and teams to help provide users information about how to participate in free and fair elections, supporting election entities as they use Google products to connect with voters, and preventing harmful or abusive content related to elections and other civic matters.
Prior to Google, Dave served as Director and Head of Program Delivery for Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic investing organization started by Eric and Wendy Schmidt. Dave was one of the first employees of Schmidt Futures, helping build the organization from the ground up.
Prior to that, Dave served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Policy Advisor to the Office of the Chief of Staff, helping lead policy development and implementation on cybersecurity, veterans’ affairs, immigration, and other critical issues. He also held senior roles at the Office of Management and Budget and the Federal Communications Commission, and in the private sector as a telecommunications consultant.
Dave holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Pennsylvania.
