Dave Willner started his career at Facebook in 2008, where he initially worked as a moderator, before writing the company’s first systematic content policies, and building the team that maintains those rules to this day. He joined Airbnb in 2015 to build the Community Policy team, and later took on responsibility for the Quality and Training for the company’s Trust team. After leaving Airbnb in 2021, he began working with OpenAI, first as a consultant and then as the company’s first Head of Trust and Safety. He now is a Fellow at the Stanford Cyber Policy Center and works as an safety advisor for startups.
